Two-Step is a popular snorkeling beach near Pu‘uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park. The park is on the island of Hawaii, the Big Island, south of Kona.
We like to come here to snorkel because the fish are plentiful and colorful. This year was a bit disappointing as there were not that many fish in the area.
There is a boat launch and a small sand beach to the right, but the snorkeling is usually in the bay on the left. The site gets its name from the more popular way of entering the bay. There are two lava ledges at the edge of the shelf that form a natural step into the water.
