Recently, Liddy and I met up with friends from the Tacoma Photographic Society at Tipsoo Lake.
Tipsoo is located just below Chinook Pass on Washington Highway 410. Because it is so easy to get too, it is a very popular spot.
This shot was taken just after sunset. We were a bit disappointed with the wildflowers because they just weren’t putting on the spectacular show that we have seen in past years. I suspect it is because of the heat and long dry spell we have been experiencing.
Anyway, I like this composition because of the few red flowers at the bottom. The pull the eye into the frame. The brook draws you up towards the lake and the reflection of the firs. Follow the beach around and again, you are drawn to the firs.
A great place to enjoy a Northwest Moment
