Most followers of this blog will recall that Liddy and l take our lunch at the park in Silverdale. Sometimes I take my camera. This day l had the new 7D Mk2 with us and captured this shot of a blue dragon fly resting on a blade of grass. I have no idea what the scorpion like golden bug is. If you click on the thumbnail, you will see a larger image.
Love the blue bug body, and the detail in the wings.
The lens is an 18 to 135 zoom, the kit lens that I bought with the 7D. I was zoomed in to 135, but still ended up with a crop that is 100%. I don’t have all the details, but I know I was shooting with a larger aperture because of the blur on the background. In Lightroom, I enhanced the contrast a bit to emphasize the wings. Also added some vibrancy to pop the blue. Used a vignette to take down the bright edges.
