From our home in Bonney Lake, you can travel east on Highway 410 all the way to Yakima. Along the way you pass through the old logging town of Buckley.
Used to be, the mountains and valleys of the Northwest were covered in huge fir trees. Now, not so much. This mechanical marvel stands in Buckley’s Forestry Museum. A fascinating place full of relics from the not too distant past.
This gearing sits on an old Steam Donkey in the park. (I’ll post a snap of it shortly) The main gear wheel is over 4 feet in diameter. I love the textures and the rust colors. I also enjoy the stories behind these old machines.
