From Anaehoomalu Beach, on Hawaii, the Big Island. Having a wonderful time… glad you aren’t here… ’cause if you were you would be having a wonderful time too. And we wouldn’t be able to gloat and make you jealous. June, Jessica (Kelly’s significant), Kelly and I are chillin’ after a hard day of turtle watching and general R&R.
Vacation trips are marvelous. Opportunities to unwind, relax and do some new things. We come back to the Big Island every couple of years because we like it. We like the people, we like the weather, we like beaches, and I like the coffee. This trip we didn’t do any huge round island sightseeing adventures. We chose to stay close to the condo, swim with the turtles and generally chill.
We did stop at Greenwell Farms, south of Kona to learn about coffee. Directions were provided from the nice girl selling Donkey Balls in Captain Cook. The coffee was great! And the tour was excellent. Mia, our hostess was very knowledgeable and informative.
In addition to learning some of the history of the Greenwell Farms, and how they grow and process the coffee cherries, we were treated to an opportunity to observe a chameleon hanging out it a tree.
So, we are having a wonderful time. Too bad you couldn’t make it. We will tell you all of the fun things we did next time we are together. The memories of good times helps bring light into our regular schedule.
Gotta go now – want to catch some good light while I go shoot the fantastic flowers here. Simply a marvelous moment.
