Yellow Eyes

wpid-Snowy-Owl-Yellow-Eyes.jpgLast week, while the sun was hidden from us here in Puget Sound, the weather at Ocean Shores was magnificent. As you will recall from my previous post, I took advantage of the uncommon weather here in the Northwest, and ran over there to shoot the Owls. This female was most gracious to all of the shutter bugs in the area, sitting still on her log, soaking up the sun, and on occasion, she would open her eyes wide, letting us gaze into her yellow orbs.
I love the sepia tones that have come out because of the light – just before sunset – and because of the dried grasses and sedges at Damon Point State Park.
