This past weekend we went camping at Dungeness Spit. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. On the Saturday, there was not a cloud to be seen.
I captured the lighthouse framed under Mt Baker standing on the beach near the path down from the reception area. Unfortunately, the refuge is closed at sunrise, and at sunset, so capturing this shot at those times would be… dodgy. I’ll have to try it some time. I think there is the potential for a fantastic image.
Because the weather was the way it was, I knew I would want to do an HDR treatment, so I captured 6 images. When I put them through the NIK HDR Pro and saw the different options, I chose to use one that gives the image an old postcard kind of look. A bit different from my usual work, but I like the blue tones and the overall effect.
