Young eagle with catch.

Seabeck is a little community on Hood Canal less than 10 minutes from Silverdale, WA.

In July, you can capture many excellent shots of the American Bald Eagle as they feed on the small fish caught in the tide pools. If you plan to visit, check the tide tables as they are over 12 feet. Come on a falling tide as I find the birds are most active when the fish are caught in the pools, unaware they are trapped, and easy prey.

This image was captured when I stopped by on my way to work.
