Yesterday I mentioned our 2005 trip back to the Okanagan to sample the wine. Here is a photo of some grapes ready to harvest.
There are so many opportunities in the Okanagan Valley. Drive north from Vancouver to the Sushwap, then head south. Follow the Okangan River until it joins the Columbia above Wenatchee. Follow that south to the Yakima Valley. Some of the best wines in the world are coming out of these valleys. The summer time is great with beaches on clean lakes, and the winter sports are kept where they belong, on the mountain tops.
As I said, Ambrosia. Dionysus would be proud!
