Spring has sprung without doubt. The roses are sprouting, and the cherry blossoms are on the trees. We, here in the Northwest, have been having some uncommon weather. It has been cold and chilly here while the Midwest and the East have been experiencing just the opposite.
Back in January, we had some particularly nasty weather. Some of my friends were without power for a week. We were more fortunate however. The lights were out for only a day and a half.
What did get hit hard was the trees. This was a small leaf on the end of a branch on our dogwood tree. You can see it was totally encased in ice.
