Shot on a wet gray day in June of 2004 in Newport Oregon. This is one of the first images I captured with a digital SLR. It was a Canon, EOS Digital Rebel with the kit lens, an 18.0-55.0mm piece of plastic that stood me in good form for quite some time.
Going back and reviewing some of my old shots, I like this one for the quiet calm of in the moment. In the background, almost lost in the fog, US101 arches over Yaquina Bay at the mouth of the harbor.
